Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not have accounts, so we hold no names, no email addresses and no passwords. The Douyin links you paste are processed in memory and are not written to any database. No video, image or audio file is ever stored on our servers.

Server logs

Like any website, our host records standard request logs: IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent and referring page. These are used to keep the service running and to spot abuse, and they are rotated automatically.

Cookies

The site sets one small cookie to remember your language choice. That is the only cookie we set ourselves.

If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set their own cookies to serve and measure ads. You can manage or refuse these in your browser settings, or through Google's own ad settings page.

Analytics and advertising

We may use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation turned on to understand which pages are used and which are not. It records visits, not people, and we cannot use it to identify you.

Advertising may be served by Google AdSense. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's own privacy policy, which you can read on their site.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal account data, there is normally nothing for us to export or erase. If you believe we hold something about you, write to [email protected] and we will look into it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of this page changes with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
