Douyin HD downloader

Get the highest-quality copy a Douyin post carries, up to 1080p, with no watermark.

What HD means here

Douyin stores more than one copy of most videos. There is a compressed version for slow connections and a full-size version for good ones. The HD button on the result card asks for the largest copy the post has, which for most modern uploads is 1080p.

We pass that file through exactly as Douyin serves it. There is no re-encoding step, so the video you save has the same sharpness and the same bitrate as the one playing in the app.

Why some videos are not 1080p

A download can only be as good as the upload. If a creator filmed on an older phone, exported at 720p, or uploaded over a weak connection, that lower-resolution file is the only one Douyin has. No tool can add detail that was never recorded.

Older posts are also more likely to be capped at 720p, because Douyin's limits have risen over the years and archived videos keep the size they were processed at.

HD or smaller: which to pick

Choose HD MP4 when you plan to edit the clip, put it on a large screen, or keep it as an archive copy.

Choose the smaller MP4 when you are on mobile data, when your phone storage is tight, or when the video is only going to be watched once. It looks close to identical on a phone screen and is typically around half the size.

You can paste the whole Douyin share text. We will find the link inside it.
